Anyone know if Shane reproduces this decal. Looks like a QC mark. Maybe they are all different depending on who QC'd the motor?

Sent you an note. Let me know.

[Left the house at 7:15am this morning and after about 1000km I'm typing this on a ferry headed to Vancouver island. Nanaimo in fact. The same town where I picked up this 42 last fall.[/QUOTE]

Shoot, missed this part of the thread, if ya have a chance I would like to see the truck in person...

You are probably in Vic by now, should meet up with the local cruiser heads.

After looking at it for two years in my driveway and you doing a bang up job, could inspire me to do some work on my BJ42..

Rob

I have a 1978 FJ45 that I am putting a 1983 BJ42 drive train into. I also added a Marin 4.7 Toybox and a turbo. That rig will be more trail capable than this one. I recently decided to link the rear and make my own custom deck/ service body for it. 37" or bigger rubber. Roll cage and power steering.

Not sure if it is ready, Kyle at Northwestfab is finishing off a black box to h55.. Kinda price compared to marlins unit with adapters..

Mud Rack style, aluminum reat bed?

Heard about the black box, sounds like a good unit. But I already have the Toybox installed.

Is Mudrak's the white deck with the canvas sided canopy? Yeah something like that. But maybe more integrated camp kitchen/ fuel/ water storage. I'm going to draw it all up in solidworks over a few months before I dig into it.

Mudraks rig, not sure if this is unit you are thinking of?https://forum.ih8mud.com/ga-georgia-cruisers/402560-40-expo-rig.html

Anytime you come through Nanaimo, need a place to hang out have a beer burger or a place to crash as many a cruiser head has...

Rob

Yes, that's the rig I was thinking of. I need to look real close and steal as many design features as I can and use it for inspiration for my own details.

Dude, stick with veggie, much safer and kinder on yourself to just filter oil than make Bio. I run a dieselcraft centerfuge and it's great. I set it up to run with a Hydraulic pump from princess auto, and an old sump pump motor. Works great, and I have had no problems.

I'll post a few pics of my filtering set up in my WVO thread (link in my sig). There are a few at the end now, but nothing for the total setup.

Love the 55G drum in the back of the 40. Have you added leafs to the rear suspension to handle that extra load?

I did a trip to the East coast in my F350 with a 1000L tote of veggie in the back. Want a better feeling that blasting by the gas stations? Pull into one and re-fuel yourself with your own supply, while your passengers use the washroom :cD
