300k Miles and a Cold Engine Knock (1 Viewer)

I am hearing an engine knock when I start the LC. After the engine warms up, it goes away. Over the last 5 months the knock has gotten slightly more dominate.

Someone told me that I can drop the oil pan and take some measurements on the bearings then order the races oversized to remove any play. I am looking for a second opinion and any suggestions. The sound does seem like it's coming from the lower part of the engine.
