Hopefully you mentioned the bezel to the guy with the 69. U-Haul trailer thinking new owner?

Ha! I don't think any of us mentioned it to him. He apparently has owned it for a while and had been fighting with the restoration shop to get it back. I think he said they had it for 7 years or something like that.

When I see a work of art like this it makes me feel happy.

I'm sorry you see the same thing and it make you feel so sad you feel the need to qwap all over it.

I am just happy the guy took the time out of his long drive to stop and chat with us.

The poor fellow was rescuing the renovation from a Phoenix shop that did incomplete work ( almost 2 years late and they were asking for an added $50K) and he was transporting it back to Las Cruces for the final restoration. He did a quick U Turn to come hang with us as he knew we would get a kick out of his vehicle. Don't give up on him....he may still flip the bezel. He said it was his high school vehicle that he had hung onto and it was his dream to restore it .

That is awesome. I knew I wanted one when my high school buddy introduced me to his (back in the 70's)
