THESE ARE ALL SOLD

I have a few 2H diesel engines for sale that came to me as part of a multi engine deal in Europe. These 2H’s have been taken out of crusty or wrecked Cruisers over a decade ago and have sat inside a barn in the Netherlands all this time. Since these where removed that long ago not much of the history is known anymore besides that they where all removed from running cruisers.

3 of them are the early style 2H and one is the later model. I am keeping one of the early style engine for parts and it will be parted out after the other 3 are sold.

Engine nr 1

Early style that fired right up and ran smooth and I performed a compression test with very good results untill my compression tester gave up on me. Cilinders 4/5/6 are done and where close to 800 psi.

Mud will not let me upload the video of it running but I can always mail this.

This engine is pretty complete and has the power steering setup on it and 24v alternator

I need 2000$ for this engine and can put it on a pallet and drop it off for the buyer at either Fastenal or YRC trucking

Engine nr2 is very clean and the later model , this one looks like it could be a low miles take out. Put some oil and fresh diesel in it and it fired right up. Runs smooth without any excessive smoke or funny noises. Complete with Edic and all , no ps on the engine but I have one to go with it

2500$ for this one

SOLD

Engine nr 3 is the same as the 2 others , oil , fuel and it starts right up without any excessive smoke or funny noises. I think all of these engines are in very good condition and even though I always prefered the 3B in the past over the 2H I must say I am impressed with how smooth these are running and if I can find the correct project cruiser for one of these I wouldn’t mind dropping one of these in it and drive it around for the summer.

Surely someone has a 2H powered cruiser out of Central America or Australia that has a worn out 2H in it that needs a good replacement or backup . I almost never bring a 2H so it’s basically now or never.

I am tempted to grab one of these for my '71 FJ40 I am about to start on. hmmm,,,
Whats the difference in the older VS newer style?

Besides a visual difference in the 2 meaning that the new style has a bolt on one of the front covers where the older style doesn't I am not sure what the difference is . I know the 3B's and 1HZ's 1HDT's way better then the H 2H but probably others will know more about the difference here between old and new style

Old style engine (no bolt thru timing cover) has sleeved piston bores. New style does not have piston sleeves. Main difference.

Monday morning bump , I would like to see these going to a new home
