I'm looking for a cheap/free 2f engine. Im willing to rebuild one if needed. Something more local would be good.

I have a complete F engine, transmission, transfer case out of a 72 F40 for sale. It ran when removed and has been sitting for a bit. It is complete with all manifolds, carb&air cleaner, valve cover, flywheel & bell housing, water pump & all pulleys, alternator, motor mounts and more. It was removed for a build up. Has just over 100k on it and ran when removed. Everything for $900.

I have maybe 10 1f, early 2fs, 2fs and 3fes. a few need a rebuild. Would sell it cheap ( the cheap ones are already pulled apart and in pieces ready for machine work)
