Here is a 29 gallon main tank option for the 250 at about half the price of typical LRA offerings. This may be a good solution for the 250's paltry fuel capacity and range.

They also offer a 16 gallon aux tank. This would provide ~34 or 45 gallons of total capacity (and around 600 or 850 miles of usable range at 20 mpg) if paired with the factory or 29 gallon main replacement tanks, respectively.

Reached out to see if either will work with the GX550.
 
I am on the waiting list for the LRA options like everyone else. I just got an email back from FK asking if the GX has the hybrid lol. My guess is they have no clue, so it's doubtful that the smaller AUX tank will work on the GX.
 
Just heard back, it's in fact a Chinese company, and it ships from China. They said to expect 45 days in transit. The aux tank and full replacement work with the LC250 4h and the full replacement works with the GX550.

will these tanks cause interference issues with bolt on rock sliders?

I would expect the tariff to be added and factor it in your decision. If for some reason it doesn’t get charged, consider it a bonus. If I’m not mistaken (and I’ve stopped caring), tariffs on Chinese goods are at 50%, no?
 
I'd expect to pay a tariff in todays market as well. Personally these mods just don't make sense for me personally. I made do with jerry cans this past summer on my trip up to Deadhorse AK and back. Reality was I only needed them twice. While it would have been much nicer to stop less frequently it wasn't necessary anywhere but the stretch between Cold Foot and Deadhorse. Outside of NA yah its probably way more important.
 
I talked to them and they were very helpful in some ways and not in others. The confirmed that the 29G tank fits the US model, without having to relocate the spare tire.
The problem I encountered was this: I was willing to risk it and test the tank, but their US shop does not take orders. They then referred me to their Alibaba shop, but it was really not clear what the procedure would be. So I stayed away from it for now.

For those considering the Alibaba FK Industries fuel tanks, heres my experience.

First… why? Well, because I plan on towing offroad, through small towns, and I’m getting 7.5mpg. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out i need more fuel.

What I’d like to not discuss is payload, tongue capacity, weights, legality, laws, insurance… you do you.

After I picked up my camper and towed it a thousand miles, I made the decision that my LX700h was a good tow vehicle. I almost got a F250. I knew the tanks were available, but nobody had installed them…. So I guess I’m First!

The 29 gal tank is a nice looking product and it shows that there is plenty of room under the LC250 for a larger tank without modifications.
