The 275's do look great. I'm installing 285/65's next week and already purchased but small diff I guess

I think I’ve settled on 285/75/17’s once the lift goes on, but these 275’s have served me we for the last two years.

285/75/17 is the perfect size for the 200 imo. That’s what I’ve been running for a few months and love ‘em

I was torn on 17's but I pushed myself in that direction simply over the wheel selection. That, and other than the last GX, I haven't run 17's in years and it would be nice to try a little more sidewall for a change. I am excited to get them on, I just have to find time to get the lift installed and wait for the wheels to ship once they come off of backorder.

I was a little hesitant as well but I actually love the extra sidewall. It helped soften the ride of an LT tire a bit. Not sure that it helps offroad all that much, at least not as perceptibly.

Sounds like that will involve some trimming. I had considered 275/75r17 when I get wheels, but I cannot find any and unsure if they're even made.

@devilzdriver i have heard a few also mention these balancing issues with K02s. Curious to know if they lost balance between rotations ? Required excessive weights and still rode terrible ?
My experience is with the following tires and none needed more then 5.5 ounces at max and most needed 3 or less ounces to be road force balanced:
Michelin Defender: 285/60r18 XL
General Grabber ATX: LT285/65R18
Nokian One HT: LT275/70r18
Kenda Klever RT: LT275/70r18
Yokohama G003 : LT285/70r18
Kenda Klever AT/2:LT275/70r18

(C rated 35” K02s but on a different truck so not a good comparison )

Out of the All terrain options the Grabber ATX and Kenda AT2 rode the best and are very similar on the highway. Maybe a slight edge to the ATX’s for on road manners but they did ride a bit stiffer, maybe due to smaller sidewall (65 vs. 70 profile)…..lol my tire problem may be worse then my wife’s shoe habit 😂….in my defense some of these were warrantied out for different tires over the last 5 years.

Currently alternating between the kenda AT/2 for daily use and then swap to the 34” yoko MT’s for the Mud/serious trails. The Kendas are pretty light weight too and weight about 50 lbs and took between 3-4 ounces to balance. Very happy with them.

So I actually have KO2's on two other rigs and as Tex stated proper pressure and rotations have served me well. My tundra has about 20k~ miles on 3 year old KO's and I am noticing they're getting a tad "hard". Other wise between my 80 and Tundra it was a no brainer for me to get KO2's on the 200. It took about five tries and three shops to get this set balanced. It was driving me insane and the last place finally got it right, but it did require quite a bit of weight 15oz on one tire. I also have a few co workers that have had some issues recently with there KO2's. The last place that I took my tires that got it right told me they too have had issues lately so could be a batch thing? I don't know, but after this I plan on experimenting with other tires, the Kenda's have always interested me, as well as Pirelli's.

I thought about this a lot and ended up with 17" ICON Vector 5 rims and 285/75 tires. With those a small lift, I love the stance of the vehicle. I had compared the 70 to the 75 and felt the extra height of the 75 looked better. There is a noticeable difference in ride between stock and my setup, but I did the new wheels/tires at the same time as the suspension, so it's hard to tell which had the most impact. It is still a perfectly fine highway ride, just not as smooth as stock. The Toyo Open Country AT's have been great off road too--I usually go down to 20-25psi. Here are a couple pics.

Lift with the adjustable UCA’s and a proper alignment combined with the trimming I’ve already done should be more than enough for the 285/75/17 aka 34’s.

@Tex68w What wheel did you end up choosing?

I went against the standing offset rule and chose a 0mm offset wheel. 17x8.5 Nomad 502 Arvo is Dusk (dark grey). These are a flowformed wheel, apparently they are an offshoot of Raceline wheels. The best part is that the wheel only weighs 24lbs.

Here’s mine with the 285/75/17 KO2

Great size indeed. Are those the Metaltech sliders?

looks damn good. I am debating on going white letters out on the ko2's.
I'm probably going to opt for the LT285/65R18 myself after much reading and debate.

I do not need the extra height only to compensate on the tire width.

Laces out.

As for true size vs specs on paper, i personally look at “revs per mile” spec. It has served me well when comparing actual tire sizes.

And btw you are not going skinny enough! I am looking at 265/70/18 size. 😊

Ok, guys, first photo is with the 285/60r18 and second photo is with 275/70r18. Both are BF Goodrich KO2, first were C load and second are E load. I was going to go white letters out but something told me not to in the event my wife drives it and curbs a tire, messing up the letters (I’m weird, I know). Plan is to run these while hunting for the wheel I want, but more than likely going to go with rock warriors and eventually swap them out.

Remember, lift is a Dobinsons IMS. I asked AVO about leveling the truck, but they said they don’t level them due to weight in the rear and the rake is important as well as part of the lift.

Love this combo, did you go with the C or E load?

Went with the E rated. I'm not a tire expert, but from everything I looked at it seemed the C would give better on-road ride but I opted for the E to be better off-rad.

I have had both and could not "feel" a difference, but I know that if you tow or have excess weight, definitely go with an E load.

With KO2…some Load Range C only has 2-ply sidewall, while ALL D & E are 3-ply sidewall.
