22r losing power at 40 mph

22R losing power at 40mph, doesn't matter if I'm in 2nd gear or 3rd gear. I'm new to working with carb engines. I have an 87 stock 22r with a 38 weber, header,and 32s, stock gears. I've replaced the fuel filter and checked the vacuum advance diaphragm. Truck idles fine around 850rpms. Once I hit 40 mph truck just dies and will begin to backfire when I slow down. Where should I start next?
