Had 35% tint put on the front doors. They blend in well with the factory tint.

5 tire rotation and tpws reset all done according to the owners manual

I also installed a magnetic oil drain plug on the last oil change, and just inspected it on this latest oil change during the tire rotation. Surprisingly it caught a little bit of stuff!

Finally got a hold of an oem cargo cover (64009-60010-C0) and decided to give the Amazon cargo light a shot while I was at it. Install was quick and easy!

Obnoxiously expensive for what they are, but we needed them to help keep the sun out of the baby’s eyes.

Kick started the sound deadening project starting with the front clip. Doing the exterior panels on my Tacoma resulted in a huge dB drop, so that is why I opted to do the exterior panels on the LC250.
I got the hood finished up today, but will need all new clips for the insulator (no way to take them out without destroying them). Tomorrow I will remove the wheel liners and start treating under the fenders.
Heads up! The 10 retaining clips that hold the insulation on are NOT REUSABLE. Here is the replacement part number:

That's a massive reduction in decibels for just doing the hood and front fenders, which I would have assumed will have much less impact than the doors or floor.

Yea man, I did it to my Tacoma and was totally blown away by the same result. Decided to do this on the LC250 first before taking apart the interior. Alot of noise comes in through Toyotas paper thin glass

I agree! They advertise acoustic glass on the GX550 but who knows how much better it really is…

no splicing or cutting of existing wiring for the cargo light, any removal of electrical connector pins etc?
