While this is a rendition this image is what has pushed me to prefer the rectangular. I like the DRL better than round.

another side by side.

Thanks - helpful to see them side by side. Is the rendering with round lights showing DRL's or is that the actual low beam? The rendering is moving me towards the round light design even though I started liking the rectangular more.

I think they are both DRL but it’s a rendering.

I am very much hoping that the headlights are swappable.. I'd then go for the LC trim and add the round headlights
Knowing Toyota, there's a huge likelihood there's a way to bolt them on. The entire front facias of the LX470 and 100 series are interchangeable, as well as the GX and prado.

Round! It's one of my favorite throwback 'Heritage' cues of the LC250.

Wishful thinking lol. I think the Land Cruiser trim will be the most popular. Joe average buyer will not want cloth seats at $55K+
I’m Joe Above Average, and heated cloth are EXACTLY what I want. The leather seats in my current Platinum are absolutely s***.
I'm just not a fan of the 2024 LC. I guess if I had to choose, I'd go rectangular.
And I think the 2023 LX460 is one of the ugliest vehicles I’ve ever seen. Luckily they make both so we can both be happy!

Well I never said anything about Joe Above Average lol. If you're on this forum, you're not the target market I'm talking about.

Interesting that the poll is at 55/45 Round to Rectangular. Didn't think it would be that close. Looks like Toyota has done a good job attracting both groups.

They both look good, but I want a modern-looking Cruiser and I think the "retro round" look is overdone lately.

I think the round looks a little too FJ Cruiserish on this one. But to each their own. Plus I have an FJ62 and I would love to have them side by side with rectangle headlights.

The round look is being done for sure, but look at which vehicles are doing it. Bronco (legit), Defender (legit), and now Landcruiser. Which vehicles are doing rectangular LEDs? Every soccer mom SUV out there like Explorers, MDXs, Genesis. Serious gack…

I would love round and 1958 trim, but I want the sway bar disconnect. anyone familiar with this mechanism know if it can be ordered and added afterwards?

I've familiar with the SDM. I'm sure it  could be aadded to a 1958 but cost and integration would be rough. It's entirely possible the switch connector and SDM actuator connector are on all three trims, I'll have to ask/look.

It's funny, here I am considering switching my 80 series to 7" round headlights, while also preferring the square headlights on the LC250.

The thing that I am grateful for in this discussion, is that unlike the FJ60/62 and FZJ80/FJ80, they (Mr. T) will be offering both options side by side in the same model year in the US. I personally prefer the sealed beam rectangular headlight look of the FJ80 (like was available in ozzy) over my composite headlamps on the LX450. I also like the Round option offered on the 60's.

I think it was an honest nod to the history of the FJ by giving the round option. They certainly didn't have to do both. No other model that I can think of do they offer completely different designs. And like mentioned earlier, it is interesting the split is close to 50/50 who want one or the other!

I did vote for ROUND. 😋

A side-by-side I put together plus a poll amongst friends (mostly non-cruiser people).

I like both. It’s going to be hard to choose when/if that day comes.

I like them both. I’m on a list for a 1958 with the round, and I think I slightly prefer the round, but the rectangles are nice and potentially have better light output with more projector modules.
