Rendering of course, but I really feel like the new 250 is a modern version (style wise at least) of the 80 series.

I did get a couple of other points from them:

What the reveal won't have:
Pricing, like the GX we have to wait closer to production to get it.

What the reveal will have:
Similar info and specs as we saw for the GX.

so still zero specifics, just like my sources.

I'm guessing $70,000 usd to start.

Any guesses on 2.4 turbo hybrid mpg?

I am assuming the 2.4t hybrid will be made in US/Mexico for the Tacoma and Japan or the LC250. Given the issues with the 3.44tt Tundra do you guys think the Japanese made 2.4t hybrid will be significantly better/more reliable than the Taco version?

You can get the the LC250 in a v6 TT haha you just have to go step up to a gx550. I’ve long speculated the 4 cylinder for the LC250. There has to be something that lowers the price and differentiate the Lexus and the Toyota. Having choice to me is a good thing. It’s not going to be a 200 or a 300. It’s going to be its own thing. I love that people are wishing it expensive… I for one want a cheaper Land Cruiser. Something I can drive new and then hop in to my hj61 or whatever older cruiser I decide I need in the future…I’ve dragged home an old troopy once… I could drag home another pile again… and appreciate appropriate power. I don’t need a v8 gas guzzler. I Need something that has decent torque and is comfortable to drive on the highway. This is an exciting time to be a Land Cruiser enthusiast.

No one is wishing that it will be expensive. What we predict versus what we wish for are two different things.

My guess, 21 mpg combined.

I predict it will be the same. No better, no worse.

It can't start that high. LC will probably start around $50K and top out around $70-75K. There has to be room for the GX to slot in above, and then the LX to slot in above the GX. Also, I can't see them pricing this LC higher than the Sequoia at equivalent trim levels.

wonder if the 4runner will be just like the Tacoma - both Hybrid and non-Hybrid options, so if they keep the LC as just-Hybrid, do get the lower price point you'd have to go with the 4runner?

Either way, good to have options.

My only fear with the hybrid-only LC is that they'll mess up the 3rd row like in the Sequoia
Unless they reserve the hybrid power plant for the off road trim of just the two row LC. Toyota probably thinks because yall will be loading all your shelves /gear in the back, so there won’t a need to consider diminished third row capacity in a hybrid configuration…..

Looks like the load floor will be very high on the three row LC. Here is a cutaway of the GX. Not too many places to package a hybrid battery on a BOF vehicle.

Huh. The LC has always priced above the Sequoia. Why do you think that would change now given it's basically the same size as the 300?

It's going to really piss people off if this thing costs as much as an LX, but would we really be surprised given past precedent?

Because it failed when priced that high. Size does not determine price, content and market position does. That is why this time around it will start at 50-55 and top out at 70-75.

If stupid dealers add stupid jumbo ADM, then yes it will be priced higher, until the shine wears off.
