Having trouble finding anywhere to stay, any advice? all I need is a spot of grass to set a tent.

Give the park a call and see if they still have some overflow tent camping. It looks like the KOA camp ground is out of tent sites online at least. You could try calling them as well. There's some additional camping up in Hot Springs National Park which is around the north side of Hot Springs, I've never been out that way, unfortunately I can't recommend one over another.
