@JohnVee ill have you know I have yet to break anything in the Dakota. But I am loving having a 5.2L V8 in a midsized truck. Missing gobs of ground clearance though.

Lydia and I worked at the barn and have it looking pretty good. The creek over flowed the bank and ran down between the barn and the Horton house during Flo. Left a good mess of debris. We are heading over to rake and hose down the inside of barn tonight. I will leave the gate dummy locked in case anyone arrives tonight or early tomorrow. I will be meeting the port-a-john company in the morning and plan to put it in the area of the Horton house; only because the area is lit up. I won’t put them too close together though.

We did not pull trees out of the woods so nothing to split and cut this time. For our fires, I want to use the wood under the blue tarp, right of the fire pit first. Wood being brought from Raleigh can go under the tarps where the club stacked at the last event.

Lydia is making a batch of Brunswick stew instead of entering the chili contest. If no one is doing chili, maybe we could just have everyone bring there best crock pot dish. We call that a “soups and stew” barn party. Just a thought...

Finished packing up the truck this afternoon, felt pretty lousy while doing it. Running a fever now. Gonna have to see how I feel in the AM, but I may not make it to the party.

Good ol AOSmith. Anybody need some useless info this weekend a year of my life was based around charts, graphs, data points, and lots of numbers because of that unit.

I got a 12 lb Boston Butt and I just loaded up the smoker. If someone wants an easy contribution to Saturday’s dinner you could volunteer to grab a big bag of buns, coleslaw, etc.

workday - 9 am ?

wheeling - maybe 1 pm?
