I guess that is pretty cold for North Florida. Hope you got good coolant in his Cruisers.

I prefer dry cold vs wet cold myself.

Agree 100 percent on dry cold. Our humidity makes the cold absolutely miserable. Every other year the Florida legislature meets in January and February and my northern clients are always bitching about the cold weather + the wind. I plan on having my big wood stove burning until Wednesday.

A lot of little things going on while it is a rolling chassis.

This is how we plumbed the trans/tcase breathers. This will terminate along with axle breathers at a manifold in the engine bay.

The Cruiser won’t have ABS or a LSPV. We plumbed-made our main frame side hard rear brake line. The second hard line is for...

Not sure how many people know this, FT dipstick tube is NLA. Dipstick is not. We have found you also need to use the 80-series FT oil pan on these swaps since we are running 80-series chassis and the 80-series FT pan is the only one that clears the tie rod under max suspension compression. Same goes for the FT oil pickup in the pan, it is NLA hence why we modified an FTE pickup. So here we have the FTE dipstick tube modified to suit the FT dipstick and 80-series pan.

Not bolted here to the oil cooler yet, hence the sag.

How much we removed from the FTE tube.

To all you DIY guys out there, this should be helpful info. To all you shops to lazy to figure it out for yourself, you are welcome.

Standing here next to this sexy beast at the end of the week and at the end of the year. Having a beer so photo bomb time! Nothing really new here but it won’t be a rollin chassis much longer.

Obviously some little odds and ends you can see in the pics still left to do. I got to say though, it’s super nice, one of the best we have built to date.

With the finish we have on the chassis it shouldn’t be a problem for John to keep it clean even with that red clay. He has some new toys for that purpose from what I have heard. 🤗

Finished out on all the hubs now, were missing some lug nuts. Dirty wheels but hey this is one sexy upgrade in my opinion.

Few things happened today, prepped for exhaust hanging-building.

Droolworthy, Ian.

I don’t think I mentioned it but we rolled the edge here where we trimmed for shock towers. Did same thing where it was trimmed for the steering box.

So we had the bed color match LineX’ed like we did to the bed earlier in the thread. The whole underside and front of the bed is ready for that Georgia red clay! 😆
