Greetings, I've been using the clublexus form for awhile now, and thought I'd check out H8mud.

Living in NorCal area and have an aversion to Facebook, but down to go wheeling with folks in the NorCal greater Sac areas,

Build overview Dec 2020

I Also tow a camper ~3000 lbs and the GX handles it with ease.

Also attached a guide for the CBI rock sliders and bumper chop

Welcome to the club and great looking rig.

Just some updates

Added the Grom v-line which works great with portable wifi.

Added weathertech window rain guards

Also got the custom GXOR center console cover for the elbows

About to add CBI skids and RCI fuel tank skid (amazed that GX has such as small factory skid) also adding A Arm skids

While old armor was off I decided to go crazy and run air tube system via modified wifey system.

Surprised at how well this works so far seems like PSI on my analog gauge is about .5 off from. Digital gauge directly at tire after inflation (35 and 34.5 on digital gauge ). All tires have equal PSI and took about 4 mins with smittybilt 2781

Good luck on your build. I've tried hard to keep the benefits of the luxary trim. Unfortunately with the lift lost the ARHC. Installing airlift this week but will have to inflate manually

While adding the 4 tire air system and skids

CBI says the slits in the skids let's the water spill out easier

Now for the RCI fuel tank cover

Had some mud collecting in the factory skids

How’s the vline now that you’ve had it awhile?
Vline is good. Not great. Like it better than anything else and having the hotspot in the car really helps make it shine on its own otherwise android auto alone (which works great) but can sometimes glitch during phone calls making android auto fail.

Someone said they wouldn't put it in their moms car, I share the sentiment, works adequate and better than anything else for me, but slight inconsistency require fidgeting and familiarity with Android.

Need to install a power button app for manual restart from screen. Should help when things 💩💩 during a long trip

Noticed a noise when turning right into driveways (raising the front passenger side and articulating the driver side rear) grind clunk sound

When I installed the RCI fual tank skid the Dobinson MRR resovoir was preventing me from mounting the proper bracket so I took the time today to take off the wheel and pivot the resovoir 30 degrees to clear the frame mount point for the fuel tank.

Now no more noise and the skid fits properly.

Its for sure unique

I used the old Japanese T4R "surf" and the 80's SR5 as inspiration
really liked those retro lines on the old trucks

the trailer made the color selection easier

Another fun week with the GX and trailer

Side note with the Dobinsons adjustable reservoir, they really provide a lot of flexibility. Setting them to firm for towing, soft for sand running, and halfway for daily driving, the difference is much more noticeable compared to stock suspension adjustment.

Also 4 tire air system is holding up great along with the rear airlift bags.

Do you fill all 4 tires at the same time? This is pretty neat

Yes you fill and deflate all tires at once, and because the tires share the same line they should all be at the same PSI when done.

Its a great mod if you are dropping your skids (fluid change ) or replacing them as you'll need the exposure to run the air hose.

Also here are the STL files for 3D printing the dust covers and line holder in wheel well. Flexible TPU is probably best for these prints.
