Sad spring
There was a lot of that going around this year.
I believe I may also have a broken leaf. When cleaning up my truck yesterday I saw that the smallest spring in the driver side front pack was displaced a bit. Gotta get her up in the air to get weight off the axle and see what is happening.
And the other recurrent problem this year is spring perches. Matt Walls front (front) spring perch and part of his frame tore off while wheeling in Slade Kentucky earlier this. Wednesday at coal mine Patrick O'Laughlin's (Brian's son) BJ70 suffered the same fate, this one at the rear of the passenger side rear spring. His shackle and frame tore away. We had a cable hoist (come along) and used that and a ratchet strap to allow him to drive out.
While discussing it that night we looked at Tom Humphries 70 and his perch was cracked completely through and ready to break! Andy Marquardt fixed both of them up the next morning using the welder at Rausch.
