Not sure when Charla will update the CCC website or get details together, but for any of you old school guys and gals, the CCC will be up in the Tumbler area this July long weekend (last I heard anyway ;) )

CCC?

The beach camp on Upper Taseko is a no brainer to find - just past the only cabin you will see.

ha ha, nice try Jeff, I think the ccc cut off is 1989 ;) And if Old School Off Road is co-hosting we will be pushing for that rule to be enforced, or even dropped to 1986 as in our rules ;) shoulda kept your pickup ;)

We have updated our Taseko trip for later in August.

Fwiw, if anyone would like gps tracks for the Windy Ridge from Gold Bridge to Churn Creek, let me know. It's an awesome trip, very remote, makes whipsaw look like your back yard. More difficult too. There was an article and pics published in the last Backroader :grinpimp:

Hear ye, Year he! The CCC website was updated this morning with some basic info. As soon as I get some more information sorted out I'll be able to update it with more details regarding the trip and the vehicle requirements - in addition to posting up photos of last year's trip. In the meantime, go check the dates and see if they'll work for you.

Peace dudes.

C. :)

Hey according to our new federal government this is 2016 (thankfully they continually tell me that as I guess I am not smart enough to know) and you need to be all inclusive. I believe you should have a quota of newer Landcruisers even if they aren't as good as the old school ones.

Ha ha, nice Greg, it's a good thing I live up in Fort St. John, where it sort of is like 1986 (at least mentally) and we don't care what the government says ;)

Looks like we're booked for Moab (July 16-19) and FJ Summit X (July 20-24). Third time doing this trip it's that good. Last time we wheeled in Dinosaur National Monument which overlaps CO and UT, the desert trails, canyons and petroglyphs there were amazing too. One of the campgrounds was closed due to cougar activity, and of course Patti walked off alone and came across its fresh kill - thank god the 2 didn't meet up or the cat would have been toast.
