Jeff, aren't you the trip coordinator? Anyone doing Moab this year? Maybe a trip down with a group but not necessarily for for organized event?

Like to go to Utah this spring - last year was the first year I missed since 2010.
Just checked diesel down there--as low as $1.60 US gallon -at 50% exchange that is 0.64/liter $can

Colorado in July (higher elevation) looks good), but Moab in July is little roasty toasty. Average high 43C !!

Takes almost 2 days to get in there- hope you booked enough time.

That's not a lot of time to get there and go exploring. I mean you can do it but you are rushing. If the trail has not been cleared of dead/wind fall it will take a while to get in there. Let's start a new thread for that trip. I'll send you the GPS track in a few days.

paging Ranger Bob @asutherland .....

Sir yes sir!

We have a week + a weekend booked off. Leaving from WL in the AM of July 17th. We can make it easily to Beece Creek in a few hours, I've been there before. After Beece it will be more interesting! Hoping we can get across, I guess it will depend on water flow. Jeff you have water wings, right?

I've got waypoints marked out all the way from Beece down to Empress Mine and the old Taylor Windfall mine ruins. We'll go as far as we can with time permitting :) If you guys have any good "must see" spots down the east side of Taseko, like excellent camping spots on the beach for example, I would love to see them!

Andrew

Not sure when Charla will update the CCC website or get details together, but for any of you old school guys and gals, the CCC will be up in the Tumbler area this July long weekend (last I heard anyway ;) )
