Tony,

Kudos to Cindy and you for pulling it off again.
Here's a video of our helicopter ride:

It was amazing to see what normally takes hours to do, in just a few minutes.

Regards

Good Times!!!!

The fun started with my first fuel fill-up before even getting to the trail. Somehow the pusher electric fan was free spinning while the rig was on the trailer, chaffing through a few vanes on the radiator. Tried to fix that at Icehouse Resort before even unloading. Got it to what I thought was good. All hell broke loose on the Thursday 7am run. After Little Sluice, the radiator let go again. Luckily it was able to be soldered by "Pooze" on the trail. During that fix I noticed the passenger side shock just about to fall off. Turns out the shock stud is the same thread as a lug nut, of which I had a spare. Later on the fuel pump lost prime, and a few taps with a rock fixed that. Oh The Bulldog fell out on the Slabs, but was unhurt. Exit VIA Cadillac was pretty event less due to lack of pride and a few minutes winching. I didn't want to plug things up there with my top heavy P.O.S. flopping in a bad spot.

I don't want to post up anyone else's 7am crew adventures. I'll leave that to them if they want to.

Thanks to Tony and team for a killer event! Thanks to Yodaman and crew for coordinating our run! Another thanks to all the vendors providing their support to Rubithon, and the TLCA.

green73, pleasure meeting you. I was camped by you folks with my daughter.
Was a nice week at Dirty Dozen save the bear. Just to add to your using the winch at the bottom of V rock. I had to take a few shots at it and get some rock stacking to keep it from bouncing in the holes at the bottom. I can only imagine how fun it would have been in your cruiser loaded up top as you were. I think you made a very prudent decision to cable it and if I had been solo I would have done the same.

Tony, and all the Rubithon event members, thanks for a fabulous time. My wife , kids, and me, had a fabulous time. I'd also like to thank Glen for his excellent spotting on our Thursday/Friday run, he mde it really easy to get our beached whale through that endless pile of rocks.
And another thank you to Pismo Jim. He kept from flopping over on my way home from the Marauder bar (and no I wasn't driving), and then again stopped me from flopping over on Cadillace hill. Don't take that line too high kids! I think Dave from Toyota Owners mag has some good shots of it, my wife was too busy covering her eyes.
Sunday was a looooong day. We left camp to head up Cadillac about 8, and to the staging area at 2:30, and then finally to bed at 2:30 am in Anaheim.
It was a pleasure meeting everyone, and we hope to do it again some time soon.

A fantastic time! Tony and all the gang pulled off a great event. I was very impressed with how nice the Springs area was and how the sponsors really supported the raffle. No issues at all with the rig and smooth sailing on exit and home in 16 hours.

Highlights:
M-bar... epic as usual, Jeff has stories to tell and if he does not, I will.

As far as the above, I have no stories, 'cause I don't remember anything! (other than being led home by my dear friends Tony and Michael) & I'm officially done with Tequila!

Thanks for posting my moment of shame in the mud hole.;)

Big fun in the new spider truck

Everything was new on Friday. Pulled her off the lift at about 6pm and drove Ezzy for the first time friday night and brought her to the Rubithon. Had a few unscheduled technical difficulties but arrived at the springs early saturday AM. Normally a 2 hour drive for us took about 6. My good friend Ben brought his son Mathias, I brought my son Wolfgang. It was a boys weekend out on the trail. We swam, fished and wheeled. Camped with Mudrak, Pismo Jim, John Langdon, BK, and my old friend Ken Hanna. Time spent with old friends on the trail was priceless. The new 55 is on it's way to replacing the old spider. Chop top and cage is next...
