I have been mostly gathering parts for the samurai. I just recently started on it.
Don't know if the guys would like me having a samurai build thread in the CottonLand section. There is a Zuk section on mud but it's just getting up And running. I will eventually post there, Zukikrawlers , and maybe pirate .most of my buds are here though. Local Suzuki group I am apart of dont wheel very much. didn't help that the economy wasn't kind to em.

Do you have a build thread for your 40?

No I don't!

....the one only club that I belong(White Trash), don't care much about what the odd ball is doing!

...then again, I don't have the pressure!


I myself am in a similar situation here, since the Land Cruisers are not a hot ride down here.

...mostly jxxps and cherockees, and I don't neccessarly do any wheeling down here since there's no rock, and I sincerely H8mud!(that was back in my college years!)

My buddy James owns a shop which is where I work on my cruiser, his mecanics help me and teach me some of the things that I don't know!

I have been learning with them from simple auto mecanics, auto body to custom fabrications
....great guys tho' ...when I don't know, I am just a simple expectator


...I myself have been gathering parts through out this time!

in december '09 I found a chevy crew cab for $450.00, where I found my dana 60.

and through out all last year between fixing my wife's 80 and mine plus buying parts to fully rebuild the Dana 60, it pretty much broke the 40's fund, which had to put it in the back burner.

till this year!


building the 40 is a hobby/mistress, the other woman, which my wife has learned to accept!(that's a very important thing there sir!)

I am the opposite, $6K on drivetrain and a $200.00 body!

I need some parts brought back from Round UP. Two head lights and a grill for an 80. If I can get to Jackson that will give me a pass from the :princess: to come down and hang out. I will Buy Ya'll :beer::beer: for transportion.

it seems that many of you are not coming to this event!

...over in WT forum, the thread itself seems lonely!

I myself, I am undecided.

the 40's front end is all torn a part, to where I don't think I'll have her ready by then.

My 80 is resting on my grarge due to hi gas prices, not to mention that I have been beating on her for the past few years. She also needs tires too!:hhmm:

my family is looking forward to this trip though!
