So who's going to Surf n' Turf this year? I saw Stan on the MOB list and that's about it, anyone else?

Surf N Turf 2009
My buddy and I really want to make it this year. The only problem is, its the third weekend into deer season, so hopefully we get a deer before the event.

Did anyone say bocce ball and beer?

Hadn't seen the announcement yet. Great timing after close! Yahoo!! I'll be able to go up Thursday evening or Friday morning.

Just signed up! Hope we get a little less wind than last year:D

That's for sure, Brent's e-z ups and tarps saved our azzes.

Glad to here some of So Cal group is going to make it. I would really like to make it out to the Pozo Saloon again on Sunday afternoon. The run out there was really scenic and the saloon is a treat in itself.

NO WIND would be just fine. The one ez up really took a beating, but it still works 'ok'. Repaired it with a little epoxy. We'll need to pitch in for tarps this year to make a wind break. No more troop tarps. The one that bit the dust last year was on it's last legs with the troop anyway.

If we get a relaxing Saturday evening and aren't BLOWN off the beach, it's been a couple of years since going out to Pozo for a tri tip sandwich, so I'd like to do that again.

Hey Dudes - We'll be there this year. It will be my first time up there with the 80. I've never actually explored around the dunes, only camped on the beach and surfed there. Looking forward to some wheeling.

I'm trying to get Heidi (my wife) to participate in the chef contest. She's a talented chef - as those who enjoyed her burger patties at the recent meet n greet may remember.

I'll be surfing if anyone else is bringing a board...

That's great. Exploring the dunes is awesome and even more fun at night. If your wife decides to enter the contest tell her to do it soon as they limit the contestant's and it fills up very early. I'll be bringing boards but have yet to catch it good three years running, damn onshore wind.

Those burgers were yummy. She'll need to step it up several notches based on what I observed last year tho! It's truely wonderful food and gourmet presentation too!

Yeah, the burgers were basic. I think she's going to join the contest which will be kind of fun. We SoCal people will need to support her.:)

The only time I surfed there it was in September and it was decent.

Off topic: Were you at San-O on Monday morning?

I'll also be surfing...but yeah, I've never caught Pismo when it wasn't blown out. Same for Morro Strand, Jalama, et al. If you sleep in past dawn, your chances of getting anything good are slim to none.

I just signed up! Danny & I will be there, and we're both working on getting my wife Robin to come this year. Looking forward to seeing many of you there!

already have the 31 footer on reserve!

look for me in front of the Caja China surounded by ladies trying to stay warm. heheh

Jim and crew will be close by with Vitamin T and the sand chef is a must even if all you can make is oatmeal....20 bucks and the best time you'll have cooking. Plus, you get all kinds of hookups from all the other contestants.
We need a SoCal Dutch oven dessert entered in for sure.

I'll have the twin tap jockey box flowing also, and a bocce set this year.

Get there thursday and friday if you can, watching the camp grow is sweet, and everyone comes into the check in stand , so it's an easy way to meet all those "mudders" you only know by screen names.
