2008 vs. 2013 Buying Thoughts?

The leather material in the 2013+ is so much nicer than the older models. Not to mention cooled seats & updated navigation system.

When you say the leather is nicer, are you talking about the quality, feel or both? What about the durability? Do the little holes create any issues?

I always love the plastic cow comments.

The leathers are all the same quality. It’s just the perforated feels softer, obviously, because they can stretch more, because there’s holes through them. But he wrinkle just as easy. You should see my parents ‘18.

For navigation. I actually give the nod to the 2008-2011 over the 2013-15. Sure the 2013-2015 gets a slightly higher resolution screen, but they both run the same look and function navigation.

But... the 2013-2015 requires hundreds of dollars to update through a Toyota dealer. The 2008-2011 requires a $20 DVD from eBay. So I always have mine updated every year, for CHEAP!

In my opinion, the 13+ leather feels much nicer than the older models & more fitting to that of a luxury vehicle. I'm not certain on the quality as I haven't seen a 13+ with extremely high miles, but the 2013 with 140K miles I've checked out looked like it was wearing rather well despite the mileage. I feel both versions are of very good quality, I suppose it boils down to preference.
