Drivers seat finally split so I ordered some cheap lower covers from Amazon. Fit well and look decent. They stay in place well, have a very grippy bottom

When I was replacing the UCA bushings I cleaned up the coils and struts. Apparently there was a nice thick layer of crud keeping the strut from leaking. Both sides have since been gushing oil. I found the strut toytec used so I will probably just replace and hope to get another 40k out of the new ones.

Part number for the bilstein replacement for future reference. BSN-24-186520 at least I hope that's it

For anyone who may be looking in the future. My traction control would constantly go off around sharp turns so much so that I unplugged the brake sensor on the reservoir. After I replaced my rack I plugged it back in and no luck it was still constantly going off . I looked around and found a recalibration specifically for an 05 to 07 model . I went ahead and gave the recalibration a shot. After attempting it appears to have worked I have not had traction controls go off since.

The procedure on my '05 is different (per info in the service manual), and involves shorting the Ts and CG connectors, turning the ignition to ON, pressing the diff lock button 3 times within 3 seconds, turning the ignition off, then removing the short. Then, drive at least 7mph in a straight line for 5 seconds to calibrate the steering angle sensor.

Went ahead and ordered some Toytec Aluma coilovers. These are serviceable so cheaper in the long run than swapping the bilsteins and hoping for 36k more miles out of them.

I'll probably be offering up the ultimate set for a very reasonable shipped price if anyone wants to throw a new set of bilsteins on them. Was thinking $200 plus shipping. The BSN-24-186520 are about $450 shipped for the pair so would be getting in around $725 I would think. Eibech 700# coils. Let me know if interested. I'll probably have them off the truck Monday/Tuesday

What is the set you are getting rid of? Mind posting one photo of what came off?

Those Toytecs are really tempting. I love the bottom bushing setup. They should all be like that.

It's the boss ultimate coilover with 700# eibechs. The struts needs to be replaced, bushings are cracked and seals leaking. The replacement strut is BSN-24-186520

Hey Jgrauman, Sweet Rig and build out. I've been trying to find an air compressor mount for the engine bay. I've reached out to a couple of members who had built products for one but no response. If you know of someone could you let me know? I'm looking to pick up the OVS air compressor soon.

Thx

I'll keep an eye out, I remember seeing one around here or on tundrasolutions.com. I'll share my experience. I had a twin ARB in my engine bay on my 80. I wouldn't do it again. It did not hold up to the heat well. Maybe under passenger seat or rear drivers quarter panel

Having to do LBJs already or just the axles? Looks clean at last?

How do the alumas compare to the old ones?
Bigger coil, same 700lbs. Went with them instead of replacing the struts because they are serviceable and the piston is facing down instead of up, think this will help keep dirt out of the seals and the heim bushings on the lower mount will hopefully last longer. So far so good. I had to remove and rotate the top mount on one because they are a identical set meaning one would face out and one would face in. I called toytec about it and they weren't sure what I meant. So I just did it.

Thanks! Do they ride the same? I have the old boss and they feel too softly valved for my liking.
