2004 LX470 Crossmember Split? (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I am looking at pictures of a 2004 LX470, and came across this one of the front undercarriage. Does this look like the front crossmember sub-assembly is completely cracked along the entire width of the part, and then welded back together in spots? How is this structurally sound? I think the part number might be 5120160140.

It's in two halves and the welds are OEM, but the ends do look like they've split a little. Maybe a small accident that hit and bent the frame ends.

Thanks! The Carfax shows 4 (4!) "minor" accidents; not sure if this is one to avoid at all costs.
