2003 vgrs steering rack

I think my rack my rack will need replacing soon ( uk car) but all the racks I’ve seen aren’t for vgrs and I’m not able to source. Has anyone fitted a normal rack

Yes, people have put non-VGRS racks in; however, I think the jury is still out on whether or not that is a good idea.
Do some searching on this site, you'll find a good long thread about it.

I know the US version of the VGRS steering rack, was “repackaged” to not include TRE, and given a new PN, is it possible that they’ve done the same on the RHD racks (I assume that RHD & LHD use different racks?)
