this radio has not been working for several years, it just says "audio off". because the climate controls are incorporated into the nav screen, and they continue to work, we have been using bluetooth boom boxes. but it is VEXING.... it the issue in the head unit, or in the amp? i am having the upholstery redone on the two front seats, and i think the amp is under one of the seats. there is an ebay listing to refurbish the amp. i might have upholster pull it and send off is anybody knows if it is in the amp. everything else besides the audio seems to work on the screen. i tried search, must not be using right wording. thank you in advance.

The troubleshooting guide is in the Resources section; it's a pdf and is searchable. You can use the 2000 LX470 version. I doubt it's the amp, if the NAV error screen indicates the audio is off. IIRC, the system won't shut off for a downstream component failure. The DI section of the FSM is the best place to start.
