So true, no regular stroller would have made Black Bear pass...As a stay at home dad and former BOB stroller driver I relate so hard to this picture. I wore out several sets of tires on that double stroller and had a blast doing it. It’s the LC equivalent of the stroller world.
Nice play on words buddy!Good stuff, as always, Ken!
(see what I did there? eh? eh?)![]()

def a great purchase, we bring it everywhere with us! I think we were up at almost 11,000 feet at that point, yeah I could feel itOnly recent parents can relate, but the "Bob" is one of those purchases you are extremely excited to buy and equally excited to sell. You must have iron lungs pushing that thing uphill at altitude.
Hard to tell forsure because the Timbrens are a progressive bumpstop, so they actually flex a lot when you are really beating on the rig! And on high speed runs like Chicken s*** corners I felt the vehicle had a little more control with the Timbrens in, could just be mental not sure. If I had to guess I proly lost about a quarter inch up front and maybe a half inch in the rear when fully flexed based on the 4 trails I ran... I noticed the 35's keeping me above a lot of the stuff I normally tag with my underside more than I noticed any loss of travel, just my 2 cents...Ken, how much uptravel did you lose with the bump stops? Do you notice it on the trail?
Thanks for the props, what bumper, skids and sliders did ya go with?Well... I certainly can’t compete with @kreiten. Looking real good man. We spent the last few days camping in Vermont. Dorset is a quick 4 hour drive for us in PA so we make the trip pretty often.
Had to take it easy this time around without any armor. The bumper skids and sliders on the way should help change that.

Camped at Taylor Park last week. Tincup Pass road looked snowblocked right after Mirror Lake and Cumberland Pass at about 200 ft. from pass.Planning on doing the same thing soon. Good to see some of the areas are opening up.
I went with one of Jason’s bumpers ( Trail tailor) and BB on the sliders and skids. Thanks for the props, what bumper, skids and sliders did ya go with?
Nice, my buddy Tony had a TT front bumper years ago when we rain the Trifecta in Moab, solid bumper with nice clearance. BB stuff is always stout, nice choice!!! Yep drove through all of the passes with the MTR’s, gears would be nice but not fully needed on road as the truck pulled hard the entire time. Gears would have been nice offroad for more slow speed control over the big rock/shelf climbes etc... The thing the rig really needs in my opinion right away is a rear locker, just my 2 cents, You going 35’s?I went with one of Jason’s bumpers ( Trail tailor) and BB on the sliders and skids.
I also snagged some used evo corse Dakar’s. Trying to decide on a new set of tires to complete my next leg up on our 200.
You drive on those MTRs all the way to MOAB?
35 MTRs on the highway without gearing? Tolerable?
If you don’t mind sharing, who did the install? Looking for a shop in PNW. Look like they know the way around a Land Cruiser.Just picked her up today after an OME 2” suspension and White Knuckle sliders install.
Torfab in Everett, WA did the work. Top notch - I can't say enough good things about him and the team there. I've got a 100 series I took there as well for a suspension and other goodies. If you don’t mind sharing, who did the install? Looking for a shop in PNW.
