Spent about 2.5hrs on a trail crossing a local mountain top today. Not much deep snow (about 10" at its worst), but incredibly icy the entire time; pretty much an ice rink. Centre diff locked, 4LO in 1st and 2nd for all climbs and descents. Without low gear, trying to control the speed via braking was impossible - instantly sliding. And this was not a place to be sliding.

That is a very clean looking 80, congrats!

I just had the UPS guy leave his # asking if I'm interested in selling mine. Happens a lot.
A guy last night asked if I would sell it! Lol

Nice!! Congrats!

But where are ya gonna put that beautiful 40??
Wife denied me building a bigger garage so I sold the 40. :( I absolutely loved the 40 but unfortunately not very family friendly. Too young to have a Sunday driver and it was too nice to take off road so looking forward to exploring out in the 80.

Definitely bring the 80! I'll take my 80 too and we can rock some trails together!
Going to be a blast! Looking forward to building it up!

You're never too young for a Sunday driver. 80 looks nice and clean as well, but man that 40 was a beaut!

That looks like a perfect example for the use of cables or chains. Good job keeping you speed/traction under control.

Frozen ground with some ice from old partly melted snow, then more dry snow on top. Adrenaline dumps occur too many times when we are suddenly reminded that gravity is free and momentum is "oh! @#$!"

Well that certainly does make practical sense.
Especially since I think you were trying to keep your new 200 closer to stock this go round. Should be a fun build! Congrats again.

Been in similar situations in old Ford powerstroke. It was pucker time for sure.

Spent the afternoon in the mountains. Sledding and wheeling. Finally put the Kenda Klever RTs to work. Aired down to 16psi and they did phenomenal in the snow and rocky trails. These tires keep impressing me.
