Oh man it’s about time !

Finally heavy duty solid motor mounts for the land cruiser 200 series !

These motor mounts are really beefy , especially when compared to OEM motor mounts.

Thank you @Solid Offroad ! Check him out on Instagram he’s the one who made these mounts, they were originally for the Toyota Tundra 5.7, however we found out it’s exactly the same !

These are not pure solid steel mounts they have a high Durometer polyutherane bushing, which is significantly stiffer than the OEM soft rubber bushings.

However because they are stiffer and resist flex and movement, they will transmit more vibrations into the cabin.

Another good bonus is more power to the drivetrain ! Less lost through engine movement (I will test and see if it’s noticeable)

Installation is almost over, I’ll do a review once they are done !

I once put full solid motor mounts on my 1994 Supra race car (like full meal deal car). Lasted one track day as I just couldn't stand the vibrations ... Just put harder ones on the trans for shifting reliability. Glad so see there is some give in these units for the Land Cruiser and Tundra.

hey, ntsaint ... I've (Big) ben (sp) there just a few months ago. Overnighted @ Chilicotal campsite up the road too. Nice stripes. I found a bolt hole that needed plugging from my ARB drawer install that day too thanks to all the dust!

Yeah my opinion is that it's totally worth it. There are some cool trails out there and the ruins are unbelievable. Crazy how an area goes from boom to bust.

A day trip from SD is doable but aggressive if you want to go all the way around the "sea" because it's huge. You'd have to choose one side of the "sea" or the other. We got an Airbnb in Palm Desert then explored the east side with Bombay Beach ruins, etc.

You could even start in Joshua Tree then come down Berdoo Canyon Rd and then over to the ruins around the sea. Go when it's cool out or the "sea" is extra stinky.
If you like getting out in that area, I recommend Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area. That is a lot of fun and trails to put your rig though its paces.

Still riding on road tires. Have a set of RWs in storage with KO2s I took off the 2017 before trade-in. Not sure where I will go from here.

I know probably 20 people that would kill for your current wheels ahah. But can't argue rock warriors

I was just there this past weekend. Love it out there and through Anza Borrego!

So these will not all be 200 photos but I figured you'd enjoy them anyway. Went to Saudi Arabia to watch the Dakar rally. These represent .0000001% of the Cruisers we saw while in Saudi

Where did you get that front plate? I would love something like that to fill up the empty space there since our state doesnt require front license plates.

It's a small piece of 1/4" thick HDPE - (brand name = Starboard) picked up from a local boat supply place ($6). The emblem is an OEM part bought through Ebay ($36). I drilled a couple of holes and used the existing studs on the emblem along with some thinner nuts to attach it to the plastic plate.
