Not sure how it will impact a Diesel torque curve, but for our petrol 5.7l engines (six speed tranny in my 2009) moving to 4.88 from 3.909 made a marked seat of the pants / kick in the gut difference, larger tire diameter or not.I am running standard 285 60 18 what am I regearing?
It is very noticeable, makes the rig feel light or kartish even. Ran with 4.88s on 32"s for a few months. Really enjoyable.
Still enjoyable on the 35"s, but has a more 'stock' feel.
