It’s national bike to work week so the 200 played SAG vehicle for a casual 92 mile ride between the 2 NC offices of my wife’s company.

Hello! First post here... been here lurking around a bit and thought I would share a couple of pics from a trip I took last week to West Texas and the Big Bend National Park. My LC is a 2009 with 126K on the clock. All stock aside from KO2 and all new lights (all lights now LED including low, high, fog, blinkers, cabin, etc.). Thanks!

Hey! What LEDs are you using for your low beams and blinkers? I've only converted my fogs, high, and inside, and rears. Are the new low beams brighter than the stock HIDs? Thanks!

With serious abuse comes serious maintenance.

So it’s been 3 years of complete offroad abuse. I have never given the LC200 a full body, chassis inspection. So I decided I would take it to the workshop and get everything unbolted for a full check of any week bolts, bent or damaged pieces/parts.

Found many parts especially on the front end that need to be replaced and or to receive wielding treatment.

The front end body mount frame mounts on the radiators were completely damaged and had a massive hole in them which caused the body mounts to shake. This must have been after the massive unexpected jump accident that happened around a year and a half ago. I’m getting new frame mounts and will wield those in.

The engine bay had issues as well, with the bonnet mounts and the piece of metal that connects to the headlights, those were shaking and damaged.

The total chaos utherane bushings on the lower arms are worn out completely and also need replacing.

As I mentioned with the unexpected jump event that occurred a year and a half ago. It also bent the frame very slightly back. The chassis will be put in a balancing machine to pull it back into its place.

This is also a good opportunity to remove the coilover, cycle the front suspension travel and check if it is properly using the whole stroke. Since I believe the factory front bump stops do not allow the shocks to fully compress.

After I am done with the factory front bump stops (might either cut them, remove them completely or leave them as. It all depends if the bump stops limit uptravel or not).

I will then proceed with wielding new 2.5 x 2.5 King Bumpstops however this time I am doing it right and will take my time, I have to find a location and pivot that will allow the bypass and coilover to use all available stroke until about half an inch is left. The goal is to have it so when only half inch of stroke is available on the coilover and bypass the bump stops should be fully bottomed out. That was not the case before.

I am really glad and thankful that I finally took this chance of doing a complete check and maintenance. It was clearly needed.

Shoutout to @duggy for installing my ARB front bumper, intensity lights, and warn winch. I'll be starting a thread soon detailing what I've done so far with my build and what future mods I'll be going for as well as the intended use of the vehicle. If you're in the Houston area and need any mods done to your LC visit Duggy's Garage.

He has quickly become the go to Toyota off-road shop in the Houston area. Truck looks great BTW, saw the post on his @IG the other day. I love the powder coated factory wheels, they look great! So torn between adding another 200, most likely a used 2016/17 LC, or going back to a 3/4-ton diesel truck here at the end of the year. Just when I think I am set on a truck I come across posts like yours and it throws a wrench in my fan and sends me back to square one lol.

Need more pictures :D Especially the bumpstop setup. Do you have info on where you bent the rear? Mine has done a ton of offroad and its fair share of jumping. I definately need work on the bumpstops and a little valving tweeking. Changing rims to 18's and 35's with some body mount changes and changing the sway bars as well. Should be a lot more fun with 550hp at all 4 too....

Will do, I'll definitely upload the pictures of the new bump stop setup when I start working on it :). And when I said bent back I did not mean in the rear I meant the front body mount location was slightly bent back towards the rear.

If you do any kind of aggressive offroading, highly suggest you install bump stops (Air Bumps, Polyutherane)or keep an eye on the factory ones. Don't make the same mistake I did with metal on metal contact.

Ha, yeah - he posts about "John's 200" and I think, that's not my 200...

This just means I need to get back in there for a rear swing-out bumper & LRA tank. And more instagram likes, obviously.

Spent the weekend camping near Golden, BC. Amazing region.

Not a soul the entire 2.5 days we were there. No wild animals. Not even mosquitos! Just awesome riverside camping. It did rain the first few days, but we had plenty of cover.

On the way back I made a 7-hour detour (in addition to the 3.5hr drive home) to snag this FSR trailer & FSR M60 RTT. Let the new project begin!

Heh... Close enough... ;)
My 24 gallon LRA tank had jJUUUST finished transferring to my main...as I reached the summit in the Laguna mountains East of San Diego...so it reset my average just as I started coasting down-hill... :hillbilly:

Oh well...
