New BudBuilt sliders out in the AZ desert . I couldn’t find a single rock or ledge to hit them on but still nice having the extra protection

Hi everyone,

I have just bought my first LC 200. Here are some pictures.

I also have a question. There are two compartments in that lower half of the rear door (see the last pictures). In one compartment I have tools to replace a tire. But second compartment is empty, although it looks like it should contain something. Could anyone confirm if something does indeed have to be in the second compartment, please. Thanks in advance!

I’ve never seen anything from the factory in anyone’s second tailgate compartment, including my 2008....

In markets outside of US Toyota has things like emergency triangles that go in there.

Have you found your third row center headrest yet? :D

Well... I’m on the last stages of refinishing damage from the original owner. As you 2008-2015 LC owners know, the shift plate is almost impossible to paint because the illuminated gear selector is just unpainted symbols. I’m crafty, but I’ve tried a few things and I just know it won’t work. So, I played with a Lusterless top coat so see if I could at least “take the edge off.”

It’s okay. But a fun side effect is that it turned the chrome into a really cool frosted silver finish. Might be a good option for anyone wanting to de-chrome the interior without blacking it out. Yeah know, like still keeping some lighter tones.

My first time running Broken Arrow in Sedona AZ. There was a lot of "I hope I don't break something moments" but in the end it was very easy and fun. The truck never slipped and it was a comfortable ride. Perfect place for a picnic.

I wish I could have set up a remote camera to take a shot out here on these roads - the dust clouds would have shown up back to the horizon. On my way back from inspecting a potential job site in western NSW.

Super fun trail, I just did it for my 1st time last month. Same worries I had before but same story, didn’t even scrape a bumper or spin a tire. Did you do the staircase?

You can't run that trail and not do the staircase :D I didn't find any of the trails we ran in Sedona technical but did find you needed additional clearance on Broken Arrow. I really enjoyed that area and look forward to going back.
