thanks for props on the pics! So many variables so every shot is different... I'll use the shot above as an example, The rig is in motion in that shot so the shutter is bumped up, running about 1/320th of a second to freeze the motion. Your lens is never it's sharpest at the lowest aperture of the lens, usually sharpest a stop or two up from that. This pic was shot at f3.5 on a 70-200mm F2.8 lens, if the light is available I would normall bump that lens up to the F5.6 neighborhood. My first rule of photography, I never ever ever ever ever use a flash, just how I rollkreiten, I know you've been asked before, but what are your camera settings for these pictures? I think you said you're using a 1.4 lens?
yeah, I shoot with a 50mm f1.4 alot while wheelin, it's small and super quick, f2.8 to f4.0 is where I like that lens! If light is available I'll shoot up in the f5.6 area for wheelin almost everytime, no matter what lens I got!kreiten, I know you've been asked before, but what are your camera settings for these pictures? I'm shooting with a Nikon, the D4 and D700... The 70-200mm F2.8 is a bit of a tank to lug around but the pic quality can't be beat! You know what they say, "the best camera in the world is the one you have with you"... throw it in the truck and take it with you, mine gets a bit covered in mud and dirt but just like the Cruiser that's what I bought it for... I could do a whole thread on taking pictures of LandcruisersKen, which Cannon are you shooting with? I love my 50mm and NEED that 70-200! I need to start taking ours out move frequently!
