Took a little while to coordinate time off with David to get the rack on. You could do it by yourself but it would be a giant pain. A lot of threads talk about issues with the captured nuts in the roof getting knocked down in the headliner. Gamiviti has videos on you tube for removing the factory rack and installing their rack. I watched the videos a couple times. Luckily we had no issues with the captured nuts. I would highly recommend getting a really long rounded end Allen wrench. Some of the hardware is really tricky to get to. I am very happy with this rack. Super sturdy. I opted for the cutout for the sunroof so I still have full use of it. The 40” led bar tucks in nicely also. When not in use it sits behind the faring. Faring flips up out of the way when you “need” the light bar

Upgraded the fog lights on the front. The first set was a cheap set off Amazon. Way to greenish of light. Went with a set of KC flex with the amber shields. They give a nice wide beam and are bright.

Went with LED for the headlights and fog lights. Used “switchbacks” so I can either run white or amber. Just added a Rough Country 8” white LED bar between the KC’s so I have more than enough light when I’m running either amber or white. I'm using dash switches from cruiser heads. That fit factory knock outs and have back lighting was that matches the factory

Took a trip to the East Tennessee mountains for a weekend get away. It was nice to do some social distancing Land Cruiser style.

Nice clean build! Could you comment on how the ride is with the Ironman Shocks. I'm considering them since they are on sale but I'm afraid they will stiffen up the ride.

It rides really nice. Its a tiny bit stiffer but in a good way. Not as much sway and it doesn't nose dive as bad if i get on the brakes.

Just ordered a bumper and winch since they were having a really good sale and free shipping. Unfortunately it will be a while before we can install them due to other projects taking priority right now.

Awesome setup. A more complicated bumper install than when I did my 80 for sure because of the trimming and parking sensor location, but looks great to say the least. Takes some imagination on mounting the winch. The PO put the solenoid in front of the grill camera and did not reclock the clutch to be reachable. I have fixed the clutch but still don't have the camera open

Mine is a 2008 So no radar cruise control or front camera to worry about. Looks like I'll just have to drill a couple holes for the parking sensors.

Working on some small projects for that don’t take too long. Mounted a fire extinguisher up front. I didn’t like the center caps on my Icons so I contacted James from Reefmonkey and he made these sweet old school Stickers they are heavy duty. They are on his site now.

Got to actually use my truck! Towed the 40 to Uwharrie. The 200 tows nicely. When we did the lift we did not add a spacer to level the truck so it still has the factory rake. With the weight of the trailer it levels out and tows with no issues. On the way home we moved the 40 about a foot further back on the trailer and it took enough weight off the truck that it came up almost completely level

Took my boys back up to Uwharrie the next weekend since I was forced to take off work with a badly sprained ankle. Figured we’d make the best of the situation! My boys loved it. Even got my first trail damage on her. In case anyone was wondering you can get a replacement light made by a company called “depot” on eBay that matches the factory lights exactly

Beautiful rig. I remember seeing it up at Uwharrie towing your 40. I was jealous as soon as I saw it.

There’s a place in Charleston that basically destroys obsolete gear for the military. A lot of the gear gets shipped in pelican cases that they turn around and sell. I picked up two really good cases for $130. Looked them up and found out that new they would have been about $600. Other than some paint pen numbers on them they are in really good shape and all the seals are good. The black one has rollers and a collapsible handle. Also had good tie down slots so I can put it on the roof rack if I need extra space. If anyone is interested they advertise on FB market place Charleston
