Has anyone ever tried this? Or is the 1PZ too long to fit into a Hilux engine bay? Or what about a 3B? Just curious.

3.5 litre 5 cylinder version of the 1HZ.
Someone put a 3b into a 4runner and had to modify the hood and give it a lot of lift to get it to fit correctly. I think it may have been on pirate4x4.

The 3B fits pretty tight, but the tranny hump needs mods and the front drive shaft is pretty steep.
Not sure if the photos are still up, but we started a thread call big orange that never got finished, customer ran out of money.

1HZ is a 4.(?)2 litre I-6 that came in tons of 70, and 80 series cruisers. Indirect injection, and non turbo. About the same power as the 3FE, but 30% better economy. 
3B is a 3.4 litre I-4 that came in 40, 60, and early 70 series cruisers. There were lots of variations. Some turbo, some not. Some indirect, some direct.
Both are diesel. Awesome motors.

Isnt a Turbo 3b a 13b?

1 stands for direct injection. T stands for turbo. So a 3B is indirect injected, NA. 13BT is direct injection, turbo. Same deal with 2H and 12HT, etc.
