My intended gearbox swap has arrived. For now I’m waiting for some bearings. I open and checked inside, I’m guessing the rain has entered inside of the box and some areas has rust.

Another thing to consider is the stopping power.
I have been combatting the brakes for numerous of years. Makes no choice for me, I’m coming up with a solution.

I finally have my brakes sorted out. Braking will not be an issue again ever. Next I’m going to install my transmission and rear axle.

For how cool your build is, I'm surprised you don't get more comments.

Well, at least I love what you do on this rig! This thing will kill most cruisers for economy, power, strength and off road ability.

Is that a H151 from an 80 series? Or...?

What is the rear end from? HZJ7x? BJ7x?

Nice work man; keep it up. Thanks for taking time to post here.

Hzj74 rear axle. That transmission is a h152f. I did tear everything apart and check some bearings also replaced 3 bearings and clutch shaft. I have not touch the transfer case . I broke 6 R151F this year, at some point it needs to stop. And soon I will do something about the hand brake. Just to cure the classic Land Cruiser hand brake symptoms.

Small problem occur. I’m lost in directions. I have not start the transmission swap, but I have a pair of 80 series axle with me. My current project is on halt. I need to think what I want to do with my Prado 78.
