Hey all,

I'm in the process of rebuilding a 1fz. Just lapped the valves, this is the first time I've lapped valves. Not sure if I over lapped a valve. Think it should be good but just want some options. I do have an another thread for the rebuild but wanted to break out of it for this question :)

Seats all look good when checked with prussian blue.

Intake should be around 1.02mm-1.4mm
Exhaust should be around 1.52mm-1.95mm

But really on this engine it is pretty low stress so anywhere in that range will be fine.

I was chasing the following specs, so id be in the upper mark but alright for the rest. Pretty hard to measure with calipers haha

Usually you want the intake to be a little lighter and the exhaust is a little heavier since it has to carry heat away from the valves to the head. Like I said with the low performance high reliability of the 1FZ, I think anything from 1mm-1.8mm would be fine.

Legend appreciate the input
