o ring

I was fighting with a PS pump leak and was getting ready to swap pumps when I noticed drips forming on the pump and realized that the supply line was leaking where it bolts to the pump, I removed it and there is an O-ring that was rock hard like the rest of the seals on my '94.. I am hoping I can get the O-ring alone if not at the dealer at a parts house . Thanks for the other info guys.

Mine too! I took it off and went to Ace Hardware and they have rubber o rings back in the plumbing section that was .74 cents that fixed my leak.

Hi everyone, first post here.

I've been searching for a solid week now for this type of thread because my 97 cruiser has the exact same problem and that first photo may as well be my cruiser.

I'm really wondering how people went with this in the end, was it just the alan/star socket 'bell' and seal part, or something else?

Thanks guys.

Will all the oil piss out if i unscrew lol should i jack the front up and then unscrews
*BUMP*

And what size is that Allen wrench anyway? 10mm? 14mm?

Can anyone chime in as to what the silver cylinder is in the top right section of the picture close to the fire wall? It has two hard lines right below it that run along the engine toward the front of the vehicle. What are those lines and that cylinder? I am trying to track down an oil leak; I have seeps of what looks like motor oil on those lines? Are they coolant lines?

Not sure where you're looking at, the only silver cylinder I see is the starter.

Did you already start another thread about leaks?? Better to keep it all in one place IMHO.

Duh, that is the starter. Would those hard lines under it be transmission cooler lines? My leak must be coming from somewhere else in that case because it is motor oil on those hard lines that I found. Hmm
Thanks for the reply.

In the 95-97 model FZJ80's with the A343F transmission there are two transmission cooler lines that run along the left side of the lower engine block. Just in front the starter there are two formed cooler line rubber hoses that connect two hard lines, if they leak it will be ATF not motor oil (of course). IME they can leak under the clamps, repositioning the clamps slightly on a section of hose that hasn't been clamped (squeezed down) a long time may stop a leak at those points.

Better of course to replace those hoses if they're the source of your leak. The OEM formed cooler hoses on the side of the engine block are NLA so it would need to be ATF compatible hose of course.

That is definitely my plan - thanks for the advice and information.
