The color is not that common but one of my favorite. To be rare it would have to have no roof rack and no sunroof but not having a sunroof might be impossible for a CE.

Had a CE in my back yard for years and just dragged it out of the over growth. Interior was mouse infested and the body in the rear was shot but the rest of the metal looks great. all the badging is there and in great shape. Side stripes are there and doors, lift gate, tail gate fenders, flares, hood and grill are great. Came with lockers. Will be parting it out after my vacation. color is desert dune, no dents at all.

Several have asked me to provide these numbers, so I'm sharing with the entire 80 community. Here are the actual sales numbers and an in-depth breakdown for 40th Anniversary and Collector Edition Land Cruisers.

· The 40th Edition was only available in two colors.
1. 1B2 Antique Sage Pearl (3,063 built)
2. 6M1 Dark Emerald Pearl (2,960 built), but not unique to 40th only.
Cheers...
Thanks for all this info.

Are the bumpers on the 40th the same as the rest of the line?
I read in another thread they are A20M which in web searches comes up as either "Dark Gray Metallic" or "Grayish Brown Metallic".

"Dark Gray Metallic" sounds like it fits the bill, definitely not in the "brown" range at all.

Had a 40th for about a decade now and am now working on the paint. Hoping to address the blown clear while preserving the 40th badges on the fenders and repaint those bumpers.

Cheers!
