1997 (12/1997) 80 Series Land Cruiser Collectors Edition with professionally installed 2UZFE 4.7L V8 mated to the Toyota A343 4-speed transmission. 186k miles on the chassis (77k on the new motor and transmission)

The truck is 6M1 Dark Emerald Pearl and is factory triple locked. No expense has been spared with this build and factory Toyota parts have been utilized exclusively during the build and V8 conversion.

This truck needs nothing and could be driven anywhere tomorrow.

There is zero rust anywhere on the vehicle

This Land Cruiser is 1 of the 8 V8 swapped 80 Series that Slee Off-road converted. This one happens to be number 8 of 8 and is the last 80 Series they converted. This is the only conversion they did that utilized a new OEM short block from Japan. This is truly an open checkbook, no expense spared build. All parts/accessories were sourced new from Toyota including the starter, alternator, AC compressor, power steering, coil packs, and ECU. The heads were completely disassembled, inspected, and rebuilt with all new OEM parts. The injectors were cleaned and flow matched as well.

production numbers:
Toyota sold a total of 14,981 of the 1997 model year Land Cruisers. For model year 1997, 44% of the Land Cruisers were special editions. This includes both 40th and Collector Edition. The special edition sales were 26% 40th Anniversary and 17% Collector Edition. Of the 3,946 40th Anniversary models, 1,604 were equipped with factory diff locks for a total of 41% installation rate. Of the 2,616 Collector Edition models, 822 were equipped with factory diff locks for a total of 31% diff lock installation rate.

In short, the Collector Edition equipped with factory diff locks is the rarest of the 1997 Land Cruisers. Fewer Collector Edition LCs were built and even fewer had the factory diff lock option.

I have see this truck in person. Has to be one of the cleanest well built 80s out there !!
Seller is a stand up guy proceed with confidence.

Badass truck right there!

This is one of my favorite 80 builds on the forum! I wish it was headed to my garage. I can't say enough good things about the sellers honesty and communication, add to that, his approach to "over-address" any pieces on the truck that needed attention. GLWS - the next owner will be extremely lucky to have this one.

Gorgeous truck with all the bells and whistles and then some. Well built and well thought out with zero regard to the bank account. A lot of @OGBeno sourced OEM parts and @sleeoffroad time were put into this one. New owner will be pleased for sure. This one belongs in the Land Cruiser Museum.
