Edit: sold, for $3500.
I looked for over a year before I found this cruiser. I REALLY hate to get rid of it, but it has a blown head gasket, and I can't front the money to do the work. I'm going to have to sell it and use the money to buy a cheap daily driver. Maybe I can rejoin the club in the future.
This is a 1993 FJZ80 with 225k on the odometer. I purchased it almost two years ago, with 204k miles on it. I have hit a couple trails through power line rights of way, but no hard off-roading or mudding.
Here's what's good about it:

Here's what's good about it:
- Never been a northern truck, from the best of my recollection
- Factory triple-locked.
- Already lifted. 2.5" OME lift with OME Long Nitrocharger shocks (N70L and N71L), OME caster correction bushings, OME steering stabilizer.
- Safari snorkel
- Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 35x12.5R15 with DEEP tread
- TJM bumper- an older model with jack lifting points
- Viper 4x4 step sliders
- Distributor breather
- LED tail lights
- Kenwood DDX770 head unit, Rockford Fosgate 12" subwoofer powered by a Blackmore amp
- Magnaflow exhaust
- Cobra CB and Firestick antenna
- Lightforce bumper lights
- Huskyliner front floormats
- Third row seats
- New radiator
- Front knuckles rebuilt
- "All fluids flushed," whatever that means
- Neutral switch replaced
- A/C retrofitted to use "modern freon"
- New rear axle seals
- New sparkplugs and wires
- New belts
- Mass pressure sensor rebuilt
- Resealed rear brake calipers, flushed brake lines
- ACC replaced the transfer case
- Front driveshaft U-joints replaced, shaft balanced and painted by Driveline Service of North Atlanta
- Replaced fuel pump with new Toyota pump and entire in-tank module with a used one ACC pulled from another truck
- Head gasket. No overheating issues, but CEL went on, lost power on the way home, parked it in the driveway, had white smoke exhaust. Shut it down, tried to restart, motor turned over but would not start. Bubbles in the overflow reservoir, and grey coolant. It did NOT hydrolock, and I stopped as soon as I figured out what was up.
- Has a rear main seal or upper oil pan arch seal leak. Had to add about a quart betwixt oil changes, so I never worried about it. Driveway is still pretty clean.
- Power steering leak. Certainly needs new hoses and seals, ACC recommended pump and box replacement. I'm not sure it's that bad, but in the nature of full disclosure, that's what they put down.
- Front brake pads had just started to squeak
- Right rear rotor could be replaced, and the right rear caliper could use a new piston the next time you're in there. It functions fine, but the pad came apart and allowed the piston to contact the rotor.
- Parking brake does not work. Rusted, out of adjustment, I don't know. Never got around to diagnosing it.
- I have never gotten the front differential lock to engage. I have also never attempted to diagnose it, either.
- The rear driveshaft is currently out. I was planning to drop it at Driveline Service of North Atlanta to be rebuilt when the head gasket failed. I don't feel any play in the joints, but after the transfer case broke, it caused significant play in the front shaft joints, so I had planned to just rebuild the rear as well.
- PHH fix has not been done.
- Front seat leather is clearly cracked/ripped. Comfort-wise, it's never caused issues. Aesthetically, it's ugly.
- A couple of spots of surface rust under the paint, but no deep rust into the body. Basically, what you'd expect of a southern truck this age. It really just needs to be sanded and Monstalined.
- Right rear bumper wing is missing the clips to hold it onto the fenderwell. Zip-tied in place currently.
- Plenty of scratches, chips, and paint blemishes caused by actual use. In no way is this a museum piece.
- Right side sunroof drain does drain, but can back up a little in heavy downpour.
- 3rd row seats are tan leather, instead of the matching grey, and the rear carpet is brown and from a Lexus.
