The 02 sensors for the 93 and 94 80 series are discontinued. What is everyone using for 02 sensors these days?

I used two of these off Amazon.


One note though: I have them in the exhaust manifold where the pair valves used to be. I mention that because I don't know if they are long enough to reach the rear position of the '94 stock exhaust. I'm not saying they won't, I just haven't tried it.

Also, I had to shave an alignment rib off with a utility knife. I didn't repin any wires.

Thanks for the help guys. I think an issue that I might run into is that my pair system is in tact and is needed for visual emissions inspections. I’ll order the denso part and just extend the wires if I run into a distance issue

If I remember right, I've seen other guys get a bit more creative with the harness routing to make sensors work. Not sure if that's always a workable solution, but it may help you. Pair system is one of those things I couldn't wait to get rid of
 
Denso are not OEM for 93-94 :bang: NTK is the correct one, there was a world recall 1995 for replacement of O2 Denso sensors with NTK

Denso is the OEM for OBD2 95-97

I deleted the PAIR system long ago but left the O2 sensor in the original place.

water damage to connectors I I installed two TOYODA 89465-69115 at the PAIR location works grate, left the old O2 sensors as plugs in the original place. :clap:

Denso isn't OEM for the '93-'94, but OEM (both Toyota boxed and from NTK) is NLA.

The Denso model I listed function as expected in my '94.

Many 'mud-ites are running the Densos successfully in the '93-94, myself included.

As I recall from when I got mine, the biggest functional difference is the heater coil resistance is higher, and of course the keyed rib that needs to be shaved (literally takes seconds).

On qustion. way do you insist using Denso and shaving it, and what have you, when they are avileble in USA from toyota?

just asking, life is complicated as it is
 
i have a pair of lightly used 10k mile NTK for sale one is missing a connector, $20 only selling because of a diesel swap.

To clarify, 93-94 80's used two different 02 sensors, but the only difference was the length of the wiring. This one is still available from Toyota and it can be used for both ( I am guessing it has the longer wiring). So whoever told you they were NLA was only half right, and you can just get two of these if you want to stay with OEM.

At least that is my understanding. And why I now have two of these in parts collection.

OEM units for '93 & '94 OBD1 models have not been available for a few years.
