Nice looking truck. Price seems decent but maybe a little high? Not sure. I like the green but looks like the original color is that pewter grey color (desert dune?). For that money it seems like little things like and engine compartment detail and a repair on the drivers seat might be a good investment.

Used to be @Spallet's truck I believe.

He turbo'd it nicely. Sorry I don't know more details.

All right, MUD:

This truck has popped up at a Chevrolet dealership here in Austin. I looked at it for a friend who has decided pass on it. I have driven it twice and crawled all over it. Disclaimer: this is not my truck.

The 1HZ turbo is the star of the show for this 73. It is not the original motor, but was a low km 1HZ swapped in two owners ago here in Austin. The Garrett turbo was added at this time. It pulls strong and the turbo whistle out of the 3” exhaust is...addictive. I drove it in ambient temps of 102deg F and EGTs touched 900 as I really floored it hard in fourth gear but never went higher. Due to traffic and congestion in Austin, I couldn’t get it up to any higher than 95 km/h. I have no doubt that it will pull hard at highway speed’s. It does not blow smoke of any color.

All the major vehicle systems work as they should. The body has some rust in the rear fenders that has some Bondo on it, but no cancer on the frame. Inside is a little rougher; there is no rear seat, there is just aluminum in place for all the inside panels. The removable FRP top does not leak by report and has had rear sliding windows installed.

The truck has new 16 inch rims and tires with a receipt in the glove box.

The dealership is asking $14,000 and supposedly has a wholesaler on the way tomorrow to buy it. It is at Capitol Chevrolet on I-35 south in Austin, Texas.

Someone should snatch this up. With a little work, I’m sure you would make money off of it, or drive it forever the way it sits. If I wasn’t on double secret Land Cruiser probation, I would buy this truck myself.

Since this is not my for sale thread, I can’t change the “sold” header.

Moderators, if adding to this thread is inappropriate, I can start a new one.

I just wanted the MUD community to have a chance at this truck as it is a significantly good deal on a solid truck.

That’s pretty inexpensive....sucks your still on restriction. Good candidate for a Wheeler.

The last seller traded it in with another used car for a new Chevy.

The dealership really has no idea what they have; thus, its pricing is way lower than what it was listed for here on MUD and our local Craigslist.
