Tailgate garnish had lost its white:

I got this vinyl overlay on eBay:

Added one of @wngrog ‘s #89nolder bumper stickers up high...(don’t tell him, it’s only for 89 and older Land Cruisers)...but if you are on Instagram, definately give it a follow) :

Also, I had my wife photoshop fictitious license plate numbers (for those who can’t fight the urge to warn me).

Not really.

I don’t. The EGR was gone when I bought it. I only needed to have 4 air and 1 water line replaced/extended to eliminate the air rail...which I did as an item on a punch list for a shop.

The LEDs i bought from superbrightleds.com made a huge difference in the dome and door courtesy lights.

Loving this first gen BUT:

Once warmed up, engine bucks/misses at 55+...no issues all day long at in-town speeds, but 55+ engine seems to stutter. Doesn’t stop doing this from 55-80 MPH.

Engine is de-smogged. All vacum ports are capped. Just replaced the plug wires. Ordered a cap/rotor and plugs.

Any other ideas?

Cap/rotor/plugs fixed the above. Runs like a dream.

Had a new muffler added...sounded like a dirt bike without the CAT and shop recommended a new muffler over a generic cat.

Double din pocket from a 1990 Corolla sorta fits. I have massaged it to a closer fit since this picture. My 16 YO (14 when I started this thread) doesn’t really care about a radio so it is last on the list.

So the center console, even fully functional, is worthless. It covers the rear heater (which blows REALLY hot, but we live in Georgia) so has no interior storage space...even if we had a lid.

For Jax’s 16th birthday, we got him this Tuffy II center console. It is the 6.5” wide model, with no stereo compartment, 2 Cup holders, interior change tray and a key lock.

Jax and one of my friends worked on the interior while another buddy and I

made the bends necessary for fitment.

You can also see the old gray carpet, now died black. I used RITT dye...I chose the “Graphite”, thinking it would be dark gray.

Meh, glad the truck is black.

Any wider and it wouldn’t Fit with the stock seats.

This thing is perfect for a soft top rig.

Hate that the rear panels were cut for speakers. Still trying to decide what to do about it.

Zip-tied an IFAK to the roll bar.

Rear quarter interior access still in tact: factory jack in D/S, hand tools, jumper cables and a quart of oil in the P/S:

I grew up in Colorado Springs. This old plate was on my 1986 truck when I got it.

My brother sent me this newer plate when Jax was 3...it stayed on the shelf until he was 16

We decided to paint the wheels. Ran a survey thread on the look, been running grey with no caps.

And what’s the low down on the new rubber? Size? They look badass!

Edit: Just saw it in your other thread. 33x10.50 is the best size on these trucks. It just looks “right”. And I can’t remember what I voted in your other thread, but if it wasn’t “gray no caps”, it certainly is now!
