We spent the whole day fixing the little failures that we have had this far and spent the night in "Tierras Blancas" where most of us slept in hammock's.
The next morning we woke up and started picking up camp so we can continue our trip. We have done about 30% of the trip and 70% of it was still ahead of us.

Right before we left, we noticed that Iker's truck had a mild/severe oil leak from the front crankshaft seal. Multiple water/mud crossings were waiting for us and we didn't want to risk water entering the engine due to a faulty front seal. As it is, the seal was going to be subject of at least the 20 mile trip (of abuse) to get out to civilization.
Everybody was silent for a while and the clock kept ticking. Finally, a decision was made to leave Iker's truck in Tierras Blancas, re-pack the three (3) remaining trucks, top-off the fuel tanks using Iker's fuel and continue the trip. Luckily, Fernando and Robert's truck were equipped with a bench front seat. Iker continued the journey with Fernando and I on the FJ40, and Armando (Iker's co-pilot) continued the journey in Robert's FZJ71.

We found a nice river crossing and took another opportunity to "clean" the radiators.
Fernando also felt like taking a quick bath....Alberto Marquez (also known as #1) and I gave him a little help

The group kept moving forward. The goal was to sleep at a place called "Las Bonitas" or "The beautiful" (I guess that that would be my best translation...).
The trucks were doing great and the group only stopped for bridge crossings and radiator cleaning.

We reached an intersection that lead to a place called "Arecuna" at about 5 pm. We were still about 10 miles out of "Las Bonitas" and it was starting to get dark. The group decided to keep moving forward and sleep at "Las Bonitas" that night.

More of the road to "Las Bonitas". There was a lot of night driving and most trucks were running hot at this time. We had to stop everytime we saw fresh water to aid the cooling system of the vehicles.

We woke up and we started making our way to "Candelaria" the final stop for the trip (on vehicle).
Once you reach "Candelaria" there is still a canoe ride and a hike to get to "Canaima", where most tourist people fly to.
