since my fj40 is at the body shop getting painted. I thought i would a little work on the ole 4Runner. I have not drove it much lately. Just maybe to town once a month or so. So i put new battery in it. Had the driver's side seat repaded and recovered. Thought i would take it down to the hunting land . 25 miles later. the brakes get hard...............hmmmm...replaced the brake master a year ago and also replaced both rubber brake lines on front............hmmmmmm.......it's get real hard to stop. And pedel went about half way to the floor and then it kind of leveled out...wonder what could be the problem.................no fluid loss.......

btw i have owned it since 1985:eek::eek:

Curious about the upholstery. Did you have the stock SR5 seats? How did they turn out? I love the retro look of the SR5 striped seats, but my drivers side is getting worn.

Nice truck!

If the pedal is hard it could also be the booster. But, since the master was the last thing replaced it could be suspect. Try bleeding the system. I wonder if the master was bleed completely.
