Having just lifted the steel tub off my '42 and then lifted the aluminum one into its place, I would say that it's not that much lighter, in fact hardly noticeable, really (mind you, my steel tub had a few rust holes to lighten it! :) . The Aqualu tub which I used is a thicker gauge than the steel tub.

That's a nice cruiser! Good luck with the sale!

Uh.....its a 1984 says so about 3 times
Yes canadian vehicle. Factory 5 speed and power steering
Only about 240 ish imported.into north
america.in 1984

Very nice 40!

More underhood and interior pics might help your sale. The paint looks a little flat---maybe just the angles.

Is this model 24v or 12v.

I recognize the 42 and that fact you are in Squamish.
Why are you selling it or based on the number you have had for sale here recently just a re-seller?
Are you selling the tons of parts you got with this separate?

Also I would question that restoration and the words full as that implies the engine trand axles and everything else were redone. I do not believe this was the case.

Not thats it really any of.your business.....

Yes I bought this 84 primarily because of the parts it came.with i needed them to restore my 81bj42 as I told.your brother...?..I also told.him i was.most.likely.going to.fix.all.of.the issues on the 84 and resell.it.....and this 84 is just too perfect.to take.into.the bush. So i now have 2 bj42s in the driveway. Good.for.me good.for.wife.not.so much...lol....When your brother came.to.my.front.door and approached me offering it for.sale along with all the parts i needed.....i couldnt pass on it. Would have taken me forever and a day.to.find all those.parts and they.landed at.my front door. Pretty sure he made out.pretty good.in the deal.....i paid up.for the.bj42 and the parts its.a.beautiful.rig.. As for.the history on it. Your brother knew nothing of.it he told.me.it was restored by a.guy in kelowna where he bought it.. You obviously.know more.about it than.your brother...restored.is a funny term. Nut and bolt.rotisserie restoration to.museum quality no it was not. If it were.it would be 65 k us....is this the cleanest landcruiser ive seen in a decade.or.so with new doors new tub all new suspension new. paint new rubber rims repainted exhaust and.brakes yep. Do.people.pull.me.over.to.ask.questions about it yep. Is it rare and beautiful 84 yep. Does.it run great.and.have any issues.nope.
I have since.talked.to.a.few.people.who.knew of this bj42 prior.to.your brother.owning it.for.the 4.months. fyi your brother didnt.know.anything about landcruisers originally he was.asking me questions on.how.to.hook the batteries up......when i first.met him....
One of these 2 .bj42s .has to.go.....it was.never.my intention on.keeping 2 of.them. i have now repaired and fixed all the issues that this 84 had as it needed a bunch of.work when i bought it. ive.put over 3 grand into.it making it right. Been through.it. top.to.bottom.with my mechanic. The 81 is also for sale at this time... whichever.goes.first i will keep.the other... . Id rather keep.the 81 as this 84 is way too nice to offroad it and thats what I use my cruisers for.....thanx for you interest willard. Im sure.ill.see.you on.the trails ...
Theres the story.
Cheers

Just talked to guy i bought it from he has no "brother" in the states
Knows nothing of willard
Wierd

While I will not get into the story, you obviously do not know what you are talking about as I sent this link to him and he is put side of Kelowna. The bumper and the 2nd mirror is a dead give away so nice try. I have pictures of it when he owned items even when he first bought it.
As a matter of fact he used the work Unicorn in the email he sent me.

My brother did own that and he knowns exactly were I live. So unless you bought it in September from the guy who bought it in August (rather picked it up in aug.) then You are the same guy.
+ he told me he sold it to a guy in Squamish.

So you are all aware, he called it a Unicorn because he had a 1984 BJ42 on that Tan/sand color right off the lot from Toyota in Richmond, BC.
I remember him bringing it home.
Unicorn as he found another same year same colour. That is why he called it a Unicorn in the email to me.

As for the cut fenders?? Maybe that is how the tub is but the fenders are not cut.

Anyway good luck with the sale
