Just got my first cruiser, a 1983 FJ60. Trying to find the appropriate FSMs and no luck. Tried TSI and nothing available. Seeing some pdfs for 1981 and then 1984. Am I supposed to just use the ‘81? If there’s a way to get them all as a set, please point me in the right direction! Thank you!!!

There are 3 FSM you should get, either pdf download or buy hard copies from SOR

1 - 1981 2F Engine Manual (covers all years FJ60s) LINK

2 - Chassis and Body Manual 1984 LINK

3 - 1981 Emissions FSM (if your truck still has the smog equipment) Covers 81-87 FJ60 LINK

All are available for free download in the "resources" section (top menu).

Good luck!

I don't believe you, you'll have to post photos of the cruiser as proof

Ok here ya go. We dug it out from under a redwood tree on the side of the mountain in Oregon. Hauled it home and now the fun begins. It was sitting for about 8-10 years ? But ran good before that. Only 130 k miles, two owners. Got it to start. But she needs just about every hose replaced due to critter damage. And a brake job. And seats. And the list goes on…. Super excited to bring her back to life! Also, all suggestions and advice anyone wants to pass along will be appreciated. This is the first cruiser to join our family.

Looks like you folks know what you're doing. Obviously the critical first steps are to make it start, stop, and steer.

I would strongly suggest you buy a SilverStar subscription, which is only $20 a year, so you can post unlimited pictures and you don't get any of the annoying pop-ups. It will easily save you that the first time you're able to do something yourself without having to consult a paid mechanic.

I think it's under subscription, at the top of the page

Awesome tip. Thanks. The forum stuff is all new to me so I’m still getting used to navigating it.

@83CruiserGal My first piece of advice is usually “get on Mud and start reading & posting” … but you’re already here! Seriously it’s a good first step since Mud is like an encyclopedia at this point.
