Hi All, its been a long while, but I am finally having some time and funds to continue getting my BJ44 back on the road.

After my BJ44 had an unfortunate incident in where a piece of metal dropped from behind the inlet valve into one of my cilinders and hammered on my piston. A rebuild of the engine was at that time a too expensive option, so I had the luck to bump into an ugly looking, but technically very good BJ42 , with a 24V 3B engine.

I am now negotiating with a Landcruiser specialist garage here in the Netherlands who is willing to take in both cars and remove the 2B engine from the BJ44 and drop in the 3B engine from my BJ42. The idea is that we can do this with closed wallets, so in the end i drive away in the BJ44 and leave the ugly rusted BJ42 without engine and the seized 2B engine behind.

As I want to make this swap deal as solid as possible before everything starts, I would like to know what parts I have to think about taking from the BJ42.

I was already thinking about the faster glow & the 3 speed wiper motor. Anything else.
Are there other things that are interesting to replace when you swap an engine, like for instance new rubber engine mounts, replace gaskets etc.

If i have a nice list, then I can negotiate with the garage, that all these little extra's have to be included in the deal with no extra expense.

Let me know if something pops up in your head.

Thanks in advance, Folkert
