rear heater

You can get most at Ace Hardware. I ordered most of mine online.

Yes on this year.

They do for the 8/80 and earlier models. The later ones have the heater under the center console.

My 40 is January 1981 and have the rear heater.

I like the thought of adding Tuffy console but was hoping there was a way to keep heater. Thanks for your reply.

What is this?

I am doing a frameoff resto and using a donor tub from a 1981. There is a rectangular hole in the left side of the glovebox. What goes there?

Hola!!

That is for a removable /rechargable flashlight. Seen them on eBay from time to time.

I'm also restoring an 81. Do you have a thread you have started with more pictures?

IIRC that is where the inspection light plugs in. At least that is what is on my '75.

Laet ones

Hey Shane,
Beautiful work...
In one of your hardtop pictures I noticed some weatherstripping that you are using in the upper right hand corner of the windshield frame. Is that oem or something that you came up with? I'm restoring my hardtop and there seems to be quite a gap in that area.
Thanks.
Andy

I would love to see a rechargable flashlight for that.....Great idea.

Most pics are here for the 81 I have many others each with crazy pictures.

Both upper corners are OE pieces, most are gone if the top was ever removed. I built this one with it never being removed, so I added buetal (sp) a tar like rope sold at body shop supply dealers. In every area I could. This baby will not leak!

Thanks for the update... I needed that. When you're all finished with the resto, are you going to be able to let it go? You should probably start planning the ceremony now.

i did see all the small rubbers for all the areas on a shorty, they had all,im in oz and it was a US site, cant remember the name but a good search will find it,they had everyone of the rubbers, they had the ones you are referring to

Shane,

What is the gray part behind the wheel in the first picture? some sort of mud flap, or just the Cat heat shield from a strange angle?

Hola....

Thanks for your info. I haven't started a thread, I am documenting everything in pictures and as soon as I start disassembling I will post. As of now, I have been fixing only the mecanical parts so there is not much to show.
